Backing Up NetAlberta Webmail
Backing up your email is not typically a
concern unless you use exclusively use NetAlberta Webmail to manage your email.
If you would like to backup your email you must use a mail client (Outlook,
Windows Mail, Mac Mail, etc.) installed on your own computer. Configure the mail
client with the information about your email account which was provided to you
when your account was created, or use the instructions below and substitute your
own information as required.
Configure Mail Client:

Email account is an IMAP
-
Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com
-
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): not
required for backup
-
Username/Acct Name:
Your Email Address
-
Password:
Your Password
Exporting Contacts and Backing up Groupware
EXPORTING CONTACTS
1.
Log into Webmail

Choose ‘Tools’ and ‘Import / Export’

The import / export window will pop open:

Click on the ‘Export’ tab – choose the appropriate source and leave Comma as the
CSV separator, and click the ‘Export’ button.

5.
Save the file somewhere as a backup.

Backing Up Groupware Data
Follow the same step as Exporting Contacts
above except choose the ‘Groupware’ tab and click ‘Export’ and save the file
somewhere safe.
